About Us

👋 Hi, I’m Tushanga Herath, but most people simply call me Tush. Born and raised in the heart of Sri Lanka, I’ve carried a love for travel with me since childhood. Over the years, I’ve explored every corner of this island paradise—from the misty mountains of Ella, to the golden beaches of Mirissa, and the untamed wilderness of Yala. 🌿🏝️🐘

✨ That passion inspired me to create “Travel w Tush” and “Winter to Sri Lanka” a way to share the true magic of Sri Lanka with travelers from around the world. I’m not just a licensed Area Tour Guide—I’m a friend, a storyteller, and someone who loves turning every journey into an unforgettable memory. 🌍❤️

My expertise goes beyond animal sightings. I interpret animal behavior, identify native plants and forest types, and explain how soil, water, and climate influence life within the parks. Whether observing elephants in Udawalawe or tracking leopards in Yala, I help guests understand not just what they see, but why it happens.

I am especially committed to ethical wildlife tourism and conservation, educating visitors about biodiversity protection, human–wildlife coexistence, and the importance of sustainable travel. My approach is calm, patient, and personalized, ensuring every safari is informative, safe, and respectful of nature.

With a background as a main cameraman for the Ministry of Science and Technology – Media Division, Tush brings professional-level videography and photography experience into the world of travel and wildlife tourism. His work has taken him across Sri Lanka, capturing landscapes, culture, wildlife, and real moments through a trained creative eye.

Today, when you choose Travel with Tush as your tour partner, you don’t just explore Sri Lanka—you also enjoy complimentary photography services throughout your journey.
